I can play oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and flute. Plastic recorders are produced in large quantities. It’s the almost infinite variances provided by the human air stream through the instrument that allow this overdubbing technique to work. I have a piece of advice for students who are choosing an instrument from a woodwind instrument list. My little girl wants to play the clarinet, but she's too small (only 8, and a small 8 at that). Different notes are produced by blowing in the tube while covering some of the holes. If you have played recorder before, as a kid or adult, how were your experiences?
